Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 9 May 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") forms part of your agreement with GlobalLine CDS Ltd. It applies to anyone accessing the Service, whether as a customer, authorised user, or guest collaborator. Breach of this AUP may result in suspension or termination without refund, and reporting to HMRC or law enforcement where required.

1. Lawful customs activity only

You may only use the Service to lodge accurate customs declarations, transit movements, and inventory records that you are legally entitled to submit. You must hold a valid EORI and any badge / Customs Service Provider authorisation needed for the channel you use.

2. Prohibited content and conduct

  • Submitting false, misleading, or duplicate declarations.
  • Concealing dual-use, sanctioned, or controlled goods, or evading licensing.
  • Attempting to bypass HMRC validation, our screening rules, or audit logs.
  • Uploading malware, illegal content, or material infringing third-party rights.
  • Probing, scanning, or load-testing the platform without prior written consent.
  • Reverse engineering, scraping, or reselling the Service or its data.
  • Sharing credentials, MFA codes, or HMRC OAuth tokens with unauthorised parties.

3. Sanctions and export controls

You are responsible for screening counterparties against UK OFSI, EU, UN, and OFAC lists. We provide screening tools as an aid; the legal obligation remains yours. You must not use the Service to facilitate transactions with sanctioned parties or destinations.

4. Fair use and rate limits

Plans include reasonable submission and API volumes. Sustained use materially above your plan tier (or designed to circumvent per-second limits) may be throttled and billed at the next-tier overage rate.

5. Security obligations

  • Keep credentials confidential and enable MFA.
  • Notify us within 24 hours of suspected compromise: security@globalline.cds.
  • Cooperate with reasonable security investigations.

6. Reporting abuse

Report suspected misuse, phishing, or fraudulent declarations to abuse@globalline.cds. Confirmed reports trigger an audit and, where warranted, immediate suspension of the offending account.

7. Enforcement

We may suspend access, withhold submission, or terminate the agreement with immediate effect if we reasonably believe this AUP has been breached. Where a breach affects HMRC records, we will notify HMRC as required by law.
